Taking place since 1948, the Met Gala is always a hot topic when it comes to bold and brilliant fashion. The Costume Institute Gala held at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art is the biggest fashion fundraising event each year. First set up to encourage donations from New York’s high society, today the famous come together to raise money for the Met’s Costume Institute.

The 2019 Met Gala theme was centered around the idea of ‘new exhibition’. Here are the celebrities that best incorporated this…
1.Celine Dion – wearing Oscar de la Renta. Dion wore a glitzy dress made from 18 panels, with embroidery that took a total of 3,000 hours to create.
2.Kylie and Kendall Jenner – wearing Versace. With Kylie in lilac and Kendall in coral-orange, these two looked like Vegas showgirls on the night.
3.Ciara – wearing Dundas. In bold emerald green, allover embellishment and feathers, Ciara finished the look with embellished gloves, belt and choker.
4.Saoirse Ronan – wearing Gucci. Gucci was the sponsor of the evening, and Saoirse showed there was good reason why. She wore a red sequin dress with oversized shoulders and embellishment.
5.Kacey Musgraves – wearing Moschino. Kacey’s dress was Barbie style pink in leather, with matching Barbie accessories including a bag shaped like a pink plastic hair dryer.
6.Cardi B – wearing Thom Browne. In possibly the largest dress of the evening, Cardi B worse about ten feet of tulle and silk organza. This was topped with around 30,000 dyed feathers in a wonderful burgundy shade.
